Consulting Services |
 |
SteelBlue Solutions is a reincorporation of InfoTek Consulting Group, Inc. where we have been providing IT consulting
to numerous companies around the country since 1995. Our specialty is working with
Microsoft technologies where we've architected, developed, and integrated software solutions
for many sectors, among which are Finance, Medical, and Human Resources.
| | | Analysis and Architecture | | |
A good suit will not maintain its shape and integrity if the materials it is made of
are not of suffficient quality and is not placed in a proper hanger. Similarly, we
believe that software, even that written with good code, is not successful unless it
is placed within a properly thought out architecture. At SteelBlue Solutions we take architecture
very seriously, ensuring that the proper system components are selected and that their
relationships will survive futurization and expansion. Part of our process is partnering
with our clients to make sure that the design of a system both meets the desires of
management and the needs of the users. Our analysis and architectural consulting services
expand all levels of software architecture, from the high-level technology agnostic right
down to the layering that makes up any well design system. At any level, we can deliver
specification documents complete with diagrams outlining the architecture in order to
facilitate the process of development for whoever performs the construction.
| | | Software Development | | |
SteelBlue Solutions consultants have been developing software with Microsoft technologies since the days of
QuickBasic and have always stayed up-to-date with the new language technologies introduced
to the development world. In the 90s we delivered several systems using Microsoft Visual
Basic starting with 1.0 and exteding all the way into 6.0. The turn of the century
brought with it Microsoft .NET technologies where are our current expertise lies. Since the
release of .NET Beta products, we've been developing and delivering sofware written in
both VB.NET and the C# languages (some systems event with a combination of the two). We
develop software using state-of-the art practices but combine them with the customer's needs
and desires as opposed to taking a dogmatic approach to any development methodology. We believe
that while methods of software delivery like Agile and Test-Driven Development all have
essential benefits to offer software development, their process needs to also adhere to
companies' budgets, technologies, and resources. An example would be a customer that will
tremendously benefit from iterative releases but many not have the human resource to
accomodate pair-programming.
